A CCTV drain inspection is just a waterproof camera on the end of a long flexible cable. We feed it into your sewer or stormwater line through an opening like the gully trap or an inspection point, and watch the footage live on a screen. You can stand next to me and see exactly what I’m seeing.
What it shows
- Tree roots and where they’re getting in
- Cracked, broken or collapsed sections
- Pipes that have sagged and hold water
- Built-up fat, scale or debris
- Things that shouldn’t be there
- How deep the problem is and roughly where it sits under the yard

Why I use it on most drain jobs
Without a camera, clearing a drain is guesswork. You get it flowing, but you don’t know why it blocked. With one, you know whether it was a one-off blockage or a broken pipe that’ll keep causing trouble. It also stops anyone, me included, from selling you a big job you don’t need. If the footage shows the pipe is fine, you don’t need it replaced.
