Standard Hourly Rates: For professional Strata maintenance during business hours, a fair industry average sits between $110 and $165 per hour.
Local Call-Out Fees: If your plumber is local to your area, call-out fees should be reasonable—typically ranging from $49 to $99.
Beyond the “Quick Fix”: Clearing vs. Scouring Drains
One of the most common expenses for a Strata scheme is the recurring blocked drain. There is a vital distinction that every committee should understand:
Clearing a Drain: This is often a temporary fix where a blockage is “poked through” to get water moving. The debris remains, and the problem usually returns within months.
